A COMBINATION OF STYLES
Kick Boxing uses many punching and kicking techniques evolving from traditional styles such as Karate, Taekwondo and Boxing to form a style of its own, using hands and legs to compete in competitions and tournaments. Minimal or no clinch techniques are allowed in Kick Boxing like Boxing rules.
KICK BOXING PRINCIPLES
Kick Boxing (K1) adopts the same principles of Kick Boxing and Muay Thai. Some foot sweeps are allowed and clinching with your opponent. Clinching / holding your opponents’ neck with both hands and attacking with a knee strike is also allowed.
Kick Boxing & (K1) are very popular for competitive students as it is a sport based martial art but also great for fitness, personal goals and enjoyment.
